Cool, humid climate in the south of Western Australia with Southern Ocean breezes: the town of Pemberton receives around 1,190 millimetres of rain a year, about 360 millimetres of it in the growing season. The mean January temperature is around 19 degrees, nights are cool and ripening is late. Fungal pressure calls for careful canopy management.

Chardonnay shows Burgundian character with fine acidity. The 700 hectares of vineyards are interspersed with forests, making Pemberton a unique travel destination even outside the wine season.
