Climate, site & wine
Loess and sandy loam are warm and free-draining and favour even ripening. They produce aromatic, medium-bodied whites with soft acidity.
Zghihară de Huși is an old local variety, alongside Fetească Albă, Fetească Regală and the aromatic Busuioacă de Bohotin. The wines are mostly dry to off-dry, fruit-driven and easy to drink. Viticulture around Huși dates back to the time of Stephen the Great.
