Climate, site & wine
Around Tübingen the Middle Keuper and soils derived from it form the basis of the vineyard slopes, with Muschelkalk also present.
At only about 30 hectares the area is small; Schwarzriesling, Trollinger and Müller-Thurgau produce light, fresh wines. Focal points are Wurmlingen with the Kapellenberg, Tübingen-Hirschau, Unterjesingen and Ammerbuch-Breitenholz; Württemberg as a whole is a red-wine region built on Trollinger and Lemberger.

Vineyards in the Ammer valley on the southern edge of the Schönbuch forest and in the Neckar valley around Tübingen, Rottenburg and Reutlingen; focal points are Wurmlingen with the Kapellenberg, Hirschau and Unterjesingen.
